LEAH Convention!

Greetings from the NY State LEAH Homeschool Conference in Rochester, NY! I've been here since Thursday night enjoying a few nights in the hotel and doing some speaking at this year's conference.

Yesterday I spoke on How to Spend Time with Your Preschooler- a talk I do for local MOPS groups regularly.

Today I'm speaking on Science as Investigation which is a talk created from the article I wrote for Heart of the Matter with the same name. It was in the winter magazine if you haven't seen it.

This has been a great experience and I've met some Blog, She Wrote readers and FIAR forum friends for the first time. As a surprise for anyone who happens to be a reader, I even put a picture of my kids in the set of slides! Real faces and names!

Hopefully, I'll be back to some regular blogging soon- as soon as we celebrate two more birthdays and I meet two Heart of the Matter deadlines! Well ok...I'm sure I'll won't be able to wait that long. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

Heather, I'm so glad I got to meet you! I hope your talk today went as well as the pre-schooler talk yesterday. You even motivated me to get our marble run out!

Hey Heather....if you're speaking again can you give us a heads up? New York is not THAT far - lol. Thanks, Holly

I've just looked at your Preschooler post-so much helpful information-thank you.
My two year old was proving very difficult to occupy but increasing the number of books read to him during the day plus adding some simple FIAR activities has really helped. We wonder if he was a bit bored before.
