The title of the post is a line in the movie...can you name the scene? I had to redeem myself after the first title was a gross mistake in 80s films...gasp.
Another fun find while hoeing out this past week. This little gem was tucked in with the rolls of wrapping paper in our wrapping paper container. Dan got rid of bad paper and asked what he should do with this poster.
So, I thought wait! Let me at least get a picture. Then I thought no! I will put it up.
Nothing like a little Brat Pack in my laundry area. Pretty in Pink is one of my favorites. Wish I could find the clip of Andi making that prom dress. The drawing and the creation. R10 would really dig that. She could do without the rest...
1986...SUCH a great year.
My laundry will never be the same. I'll be humming Psychedelic Furs and OMD, New Order, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Smiths...ever heard the soundtrack from this movie? Excellent 80s alternative...
One might question how it is someone can be married for over 14.5 years and still, somehow be carrying around a movie poster from the mid-80s. It is one of life's mysteries. But I guess it is an illustration in why one needs to hoe out. Every now and then.

1986 was a good year! I have The Breakfast Club poster in my school room. THAT movie ROCKED.
Amber that is 80s loyalty!! I loved that movie too and I actually taught a student who would make snow on his desk the same way Ally Sheedy did...
seriously.
Oh oh oh! I know that scene! It's when Andie and her friend (Annie Potts) are in the record store and Ducky is being well, Ducky and she gestures to him and says "Ever have one of these?" Lol I love that movie! And I love 80's alternative. That is *my* music, baby! In fact a couple weeks ago I posted Hot Hot Hot (because it was a very hot week) as my status on Facebook and my friend said That reminds me of a Cure song. :) So of course I had that going through my head all day. O.k., rambling! LOL
Ding ding ding! Shonda is the winner!!!
Thanks for playing Shonda!
Pretty in Pink was one of my favorite movies, too! I had the soundtrack on tape and listened to it over and over. "Don't you forget about me. I'll be around, dancing, you know it, baby..." I also loved how Andi was her own person, and the relationship she had with her dad. Good stuff!
