A Poem by R9
One Wintry Day
One day I went in the snow,
so wintry were the things I wore-
coat, hat, mittens and more
I went out in the snow
So wintry was it
being in the snow
sledding- heading toward the bottom.
To the top I pull my sled,
after I reach the bottom.
When the snow was no more,
I put a bed on the hill to
sleep where I once sled.
Then I lay down my head on the hill
One day I went in the snow,
so wintry were the things I wore-
coat, hat, mittens and more
I went out in the snow
So wintry was it
being in the snow
sledding- heading toward the bottom.
To the top I pull my sled,
after I reach the bottom.
When the snow was no more,
I put a bed on the hill to
sleep where I once sled.
Then I lay down my head on the hill

very well written poem by your son.
What a wonderful poem! Thank you for sharing it with us.
That is so awesome!!! Does that just come naturally or have you guys done poetry writing??
Shonda that is all R! She speaks through poetry. Other writing not so much. She really caught on to poetry after using Jane Lambert's fall study and seeing the poems.
Please tell R9 that I really enjoyed her latest poem....she is very talented. Maybe she will publish a book of her poems sometime in the future and I will buy the first copy. It is especially fitting with your pending snowstorm.
love, Grandma
Bravo R9!
