Halloween- Narnia Style

For the last several years our kids have gone in together on theme costumes. Two years ago they were a campsite complete with a camper, a tent, a campfire, and a skunk.

Last year they were Batman, Robin, Riddler, and Catwoman.

This year it was a toss up between Star Wars and Prince Caspian. Caspian won out!

Here we have Reepicheep the Mouse with his valient (Fiddlestix) sword. High King Peter with a (yardstick) sword, Queen Susan with a quiver of arrows (also fiddlestix) in a Today's Kids golf caddy, and finally good King Edmund.

Not bad considering the dress up box was the main source of disguise. I think the Aslan sheilds helped to know they are. That Reepicheep looks ready for a fight!

The kids also did some pumpkin carving this year. We went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch last Monday and we came home with these and to my delight I just want to mention that it was a terrible year for pumpkins in this area of NY. So...it wasn't just me!!! I'll grow a pumpkin. You'll see!
This boo pumpkin is inspired by one of our all time favorite Halloween books- Too Many Pumpkins. Dan is talented, yes?
