Cooking & Stories and Midget Math

These were the co-op classes that I-6 took this spring co-op semester. We've been going since February and the kids have been having a great time. Yesterday was the last day and last night we had the co-op night finale.

Cooking and Stories- every week they read a story and cooked a snack or meal to go with it

The teachers used Family Math and made stations around the room for the kids.

I-6 raved about this class. He loved it. It inspired me to get a hold of the book myself. I hope to make some fun centers using the ideas in the book.

I'm teaching a math co-op for 5 - 7 year olds. We've only got 3 more weeks, but thanks for the inspiration!!!

For what it's worth, I like Family Math II better than the first. Not sure why. I find myself using FM II more often.
