Web Cam Fun...

This is for my FIAR friends...just got my hair cut today. I don't let her dry it- too cheap for that so this is my own styling. As if you can't tell. I get it cut roughly every four to five weeks and I've been wearing this style for years though I get bolder with the stack in the back.

The front looks pretty conservative

The sides- reminds me of the 80s bob I had when my hair was all one length-same length as now but no bangs I had to lean my head to the side to see! Ha! Not sure why I thought it was a good idea to look at the cam...

The stack in the back. LOVE it! My hair is fine and this adds a lot of volume. Also for a person who used to have stick straight hair, the older I get the curlier it gets. This is blown dry into partial submission- it never really completely obeys, but you should see it if I leave it. Maybe I'll do that another day!
So, the going poll is...

Do I get it high lighted? I'd love a pink streak right in the front area, but I don't think my stylist is sold on it. Or Dan for that matter.

I'm thinking a caramel brown. I'd rather not look totally processed. Well unless you count the pink.

Back in the day I used to wear it super short and high lighted blonde and then blonde and red. Everyone keeps asking for pictures. I think I'll have to find one and blog it. I went for about five years sans a safe bob after being stopped for a hall pass in a middle school while student teaching. I had to sophisticate up for a few years.

There is safety in a great bob. But the really good ones are still high maintenance. Did I mention how much I love my stack in the back?

So, high lights or no?

Love this cut!

I feel like I'm always in a hair crisis! I've been letting mine grow out, but I'm considering going and having something super trendy done with it (cut-wise). I don't want a lot of maintenance though. What's a girl to do?

love it. I did the bob 4-EV-UH... and then looooooong. The bob is my default 'trim'. Mine is getting curlier too. Weird.

and I'm saying GO PINK

Go for highlights! Whatever color. If you want pink or something like that, look at "beauty" type store that sells mostly haircare type products. They might have non permanent hightlighters that look like mascara tubs. As I recall, there are funky colors too.

Heather - that should have been tubes not tubs. Having a crazy day for little mistakes like that.

Go for it! I would probably do teh caramel color, but the pink would be cute, too. I just wouldn't do the pink myself because then I would feel like everything I wore had to look good with pink!

love the bob!! My vote is for PINK!! I think your hair is a pretty color, but highlights will look nice, too.

Oh, that's an ADORABLE hair cut!! It's so stylish. And definitely, a few highlights are in order, but pink?? I don't think so. IMHO

I love the haircut. I have a similar one. I do highlights once-twice a year as sort of a camoflauge for the gray highlights that are starting to show up.

I think highlights would look great!

But I wouldn't do the pink. Of course, I don't do tattoos, either. I think it's a bit of a generational thing. In my generation only people with serious moral issues died their hair weird colors or got tattoos (unless they were a member of the Navy) and even though I know that's not the case anymore, it's still distracting to me.

I have a similar cut, but with no bangs. Yours looks super cute. I was going to say start the highlights now. They'll hide any gray that starts to peak in. And you can always buy a clip in pink streak. Then you get your fun...but you can take it out.

I, of course, vote for the pink!!

Kim I knew I could count on you!

km- does that mean I have permission to go to Claire's?

...to buy a pink hair clip! : )

Heather - you're cute. I think you need to go all the way and next cut, have her really stack it in the back, let some of the bangs go longer to sweep to the side, with long layers in the front. Then do a henna dye. But then again, you should see my hair, long, plain jane. Have fun!

Bobs always look good on you. Do you ever hear from Joanne anymore? I lost track of her.

Heather said...

Mary!!! Where's your blog?? I do not hear from Joanne. In fact, I don't think I have since college.

I'm just sitting here enjoying some Jars of Clay and that makes me think of you because you were the first person to introduce them to me!

How are you friend?

Heather

Rachel that sounds perfect for someone with thicker hair and less curl. ; )

My bangs won't behave that any more- LOL!

I love everyone's opinions. I think I'm gonna leave it as is. Maybe...

Heather, you are cute, cute, cute! If you want pink, well, you could do it! I can't see ME with pink, but then I sort of get excited over a new gray hair. :)

Love your haircut Heather! It looks fabulous on you. I'm a big fan of highlights. My hairstylist wouldn't let me put a pink streak in a couple of years ago....wish I would have... :)
