You'll probably hear me say this a million times in the next month or so, but we have three birthdays within the first ten days of June at our house. Thankfully, they occur in birth order so R7 will have her party first. Her birthday is June 1st and her party will be May 24th. Her party this year is an American Girl Scrapbooking gig with a little tea/refreshments thrown in. The girls will have some fun with their dolls, work on some fun scrapbooking projects, and they will be served by our boys (Dan is in charge). Stay tuned for more details as they happen!
Last night we began the process by making the invitations.

R7 helped by tracing the templates and stamping the flower middles. She is a very patient paper crafter and I can't wait to show you some of the projects the girls will try for their scrapbook pages.
J2 was permitted in the Secret Lair for a little bit. He has mastered the Creative Memories corner rounder. This is not an open invitation so I hope he doesn't make me bounce him in the future!
The finished product is from the Klutz book of Card Making. I have gotten so much use out of this book. Run don't walk to the nearest craft store to get yours today!
The flower folds up and makes its own envelope. Isn't that nice?
Fun ideas: I'm using some tips from an article in Family Fun magazine on how to have a scrapbooking party.
I'm also using some fun ideas from the American Girl Library- these two books in particular Paper Fun and Paper Punch Art.
