Equate- a Math Game

So, I promised to feature some of these games we've been playing. The next one up is Equate. This one is tricky, but think math Scrabble and you've pretty much got it. You have to make equations and build them like a crossword. It is kind of tricky, but a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. They sell one set of tiles with the game and then you can buy extra tile sets. We have the junior tile set which has more whole numbers and 1s and 2s in it. There is also an advanced tile set with more fractions and things in it.

Here we are just getting started.

This is pretty much the end of the game. The equals signs are freebies and you can build on to other people's equations. So if someone put down 2+2=4 then you add another number sentence like = 1+3 or something like that and you can score the whole row.
