Happy Birthday E14!

Well, it's hard to believe, but today E turns 14! 14 years ago, as of 4:47am, we were holding our first baby boy! What a fabulous journey it's been. I highly recommend baby boys to everyone. You can't go wrong. From a snuggly, sweet baby boy to a much bigger, taller, still somewhat ready for a snuggle and mostly sweet young man we love our E!

Our first born is an intensely competitive, intelligent, game loving guy who loves to take tests (it's a show off/competitive sort of thing), play soccer, deal in all things Star Wars, and read a great adventure. His current favorite things include his mp3 player, Star Wars legos, FLL, games like Dominion, Catan, and Merchants and Marauders. Oh and the One Year Adventure Novel community.

He's working on becoming a licensed falconer and loves to talk to people about it- in fact, he did his presentation no less than 5 times over the last 6 months and it was well received each time.

While we've been busy pouring into him, he's been busy growing older! He's just started 9th grade! Just four more years to finish the pouring in and he's off to begin his own adventure. Bittersweet for sure, but we try and remember how tragic it would really be if he lacked vision for his own life and the means and motivation to make it happen.

So, for now, we'll continue to enjoy him even as we know it'll be time too soon to let go!
