The semi-annual booksale is on for our local large library (we have a small village library with a sale at another time) and it's always such fun to go through and find some great books and games. This year I had the help of two kids and we brought home some great homeschooling stuff.

This one is from the early 90s, but I'm hoping to take it apart and salvage some of the elements. |

It has some cool things in it and we can play it with a different map. I can just remove anything Soviet Union... |

This game is still sold and is post Berlin Wall coming down. |

There are different map boards and questions...looks like fun for our geography buffs! |

A Professor Noggin game! We have Countries II, but now we have the original. These are great for traveling and for baseball games (when you are an observer not a player). |

I'm looking to get the game "Chronology", but this one looked like it was worth a shot. Who doesn't love time travel? |
I usually go once during the first weekend of the sale and leave it at that. At the same time, I'm trying to hoe out what we no longer need. When you live in a university town, there is never a shortage of the good stuff at these sales. In another post, I'll share our books finds.
What are your favorite games?

Yippee! Sounds like you had a good shopping day!
We're liking Slamwich and PayDay.
Looks like you found some great stuff. We are currently playing Scrabble slam, and it is so much fun. A10 got it as a bday gift.
